NTSE Admit Card Overview

NTSE Admit Card is a major requirement to enter the examination venue. Consequently, the candidates have to bring their admit cards to the exam centre. These admit cards are available to download 21 days before the exam date.

The state-level exam conducting authority releases the NTSE stage 1 admit card in online mode through the official website, while others provide the NTSE hall ticket in offline mode through the respective schools. Students will be able to get the NTSE Phase 1 Admit Card from their respective school authorities.

NTSE hall ticket consists of details like exam venue, roll number, date and time of exam. Online admit cards of NTSE can be downloaded by using the application number and date of birth of the applicant. Students must carry the NTSE hall ticket to the NTSE exam centre for verification. NTSE Stage 1 Admit Card Date and Links:

SCERTs of all the states and union territories release the NTSE admit card in online/offline mode. While some states like Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana, Punjab and Puducherry release the admit card online, others release NTSE admit card in offline mode. It is mandatory to carry NTSE admit card on the examination day. Without this, no student is allowed to write the exam.

Candidates who submitted the NTSE application form completely and correctly are issued NTSE admit cards for the stage I exam by their respective State/UT liaison officer. The candidates could obtain an NTSE stage 1 admit card either online or offline from the school officials or the state liaison officer at least a week before the exam date.

NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card:

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) usually releases the NTSE admit card three weeks before the date of the exam. Students can visit the official website ncert.nic.in to check and download NTSE admit card. They are required to enter their state roll number, date of birth and captcha code on the login page to access the NTSE admit card. Only NTSE Stage 1 qualifiers can download NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card.

Follow the steps to download NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card –

  • Open the official website of NCERT.
  • Click on the NTSE Admit Card.
  • Enter the Roll Number and DOB to download the NTSE Admit Card.

Check all the details mentioned on Admit Card. After verifying all details, take a printout of the admit card and secure it. In case of any discrepancy, contact the school officials immediately and get it rectified.

NTSE Last-Minute Preparation Tips:

Last-minute preparation for NTSE should include a thorough revision of NCERT books. Students should not run after learning new things or things which are least important. They should focus on revising their short notes. So here we are giving some points to avoid the rush of last-minute preparation-

  • Students should focus on revising their short notes.
  • Students must be calm and relaxed and take adequate rest in between their long hours of studying for NTSE Phase 1 and Phase 2.
  • Students should eat healthy and easily digestible things and avoid the consumption of junk foods.
  • Make yourself aware through self-analysis to give the number of mock tests.
  • Students need to have immaculate planning so they can efficiently finish their revision before the commencement of the NTSE exam.

NTSE Exam Instructions:

There are a few instructions students keep in mind before applying for the NTSE Exam –

  • Indian students studying abroad in class X or equivalent will be exempted from the first-level screening test and will be allowed to appear directly in the second-level examination conducted by NCERT.
  • A candidate will be eligible to appear for the second-level NTSE examination only if he/she has obtained at least 60% marks (in aggregate) in the previous annual examination.
  • The candidate will have to appear for the NTSE exam at any centre in India at his/her expense.
  • Candidates willing to appear for the NTSE examination may request through the Head of the Institute where they are studying along with an attested copy of the mark sheet of class IX (by the Head of the Institute). The request should reach the Head, Department of Educational Survey, NCERT, New Delhi-110016, by 31st December of the concerned year.
  • The Council will allot roll numbers to the qualified candidates and inform them about the examination date, time, venue, and other relevant instructions.
  • No request for a change of centre will be entertained.
  • The scholarship will be paid to study in India if a candidate is selected.
  • Change of centre will be permitted in genuine cases and per the instructions from NCERT.
