DASA is an initiative by the Government of India. Only NRIs (Non-Resident Indian), foreign nationals and PIOs (Person of Indian Origin) are eligible for the DASA scheme.
To be eligible to apply for the full benefits of the scheme, the applicants are required to fulfil the given eligibility criteria:
12 years General Secondary Education Certificate of the Ministry of Education Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries have been recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to +2 stage qualification of an Indian Board giving access to the Bachelor Degree programme at Indian Universities.
Important Note
For Architecture, no candidate shall be admitted to an architecture course unless she/he has passed 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or passed 10+3 diploma examination with mathematics as a compulsory subject.For Planning, no candidate shall be admitted to the planning course unless she/he has passed 10+2 scheme of examination with mathematics
All foreign nationals studying in any country, including India or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfil prescribed admission criteria, are eligible to apply under DASA scheme. Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th & 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad
