5. SPDC (Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children):

The Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) was established in 2006-07 to make higher education in Indian Universities/Institutes in various fields (except medical and related courses) available to the children of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-resident Indians (NRIs), as well as to promote India as a centre for higher studies.

Under the scheme, PIO/NRI students are eligible for US $4000 per annum for payment of admission fee, tuition fee, and post-admission services for Under Graduate courses in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Management, Journalism, Hotel Management, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Technology etc.
