Following the NEET UG Re-Revised Result 2024 declaration, the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) announced the dates for the NEET UG 2024 counselling process. This year, the counselling will commence on 14 August, according to the notice shared on the official website on 29 July.
As of now, three rounds of the NEET UG 2024 counselling, followed by a stray vacancy round, are scheduled until 30 October 2024*. Depending on the number of vacant seats, the counselling process may get extended.
Announcing the same, MCC has stated, “It is hereby informed that the NEET UG Counselling for the Academic session 2024 is expected to commence tentatively from 14 August 2024. However, the registration process for the counselling may begin in the first week of August.”
The MCC will conduct the counselling for the 15% All Indi Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% seats at the AIIMS, JIPMER Pondicherry, and all the Central and Deemed Universities.
Dr B Srinivas, Secretary of the National Medical Commission (NMC), has indicated that the registration for the counselling process is expected to begin in the first week of August.
Dr Srinivas also mentioned that the counselling would facilitate the allocation of approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats across about 710 medical colleges nationwide. Additionally, counselling will cover 21,000 BDS seats and seats in Ayush and nursing programs.
The NEET UG 2024 Counselling will be conducted in four rounds, which are as follows:
After the initial four rounds of NEET UG 2024 counselling, additional rounds may be conducted to fill the remaining seats. The number of rounds may increase based on seat availability.
