JEE Main 2024 Session 2 (April) Paper Analysis: The JEE Main 2024 Session 2 was conducted by NTA on 04, 05, 06, 08, 09, and 12 April 2024 in computer-based test mode at different centers in 319 cities across India and 22 cities outside India. Following the previous trends, after the compilation of the exam, the National Testing Agency will release the provisional answer key and candidate’s response sheet for the students to review and calculate their marks. In this blog, we will share a detailed paper analysis of physics, chemistry, and mathematics curated by the experts of ALLEN Overseas.
The mathematics paper was more moderate to difficult in the difficulty level, with lengthy calculations. Following the previous year’s trends, topics like Sequence & Series, Co-ordinate Geometry (straight line, conic section, circle), Binomial Theorem, Function & Inverse Trigonometric Functions, Limit, Continuity & Differentiation, Indefinite & Definite Integration, Vector-3D, Probability have high weightage. At the same time, trigonometric equations, determinations, and quadratic equations have a lower weight. Class-wise, topics from both classes 11 & 12 have equal weightage.

The Physics paper was easy to moderate in difficulty level and contained fact-based questions from NCERT to check the students’ knowledge for all the shifts. The questions in all the shifts were asked from all the chapters covered in the syllabus. As expected and from the previous year’s JEE Main trends, current electricity, EMI, EM Waves, unit & dimensions, Kinematics, and NLM have higher weightage. Class-wise, the weight of the class 12 topics is higher than that of the class 11 topics. Overall, the paper was well structured, containing all questions (easy & difficult)
