Options in DASA UG 2022 Seat Allotment:

DASA split its seat allotment rounds into two categories.

First: Candidates who are allotted their first choice of Institute/ course.

Here you have two options:

  1. Accept: Select this if you are accepting the allotted Institute/Course and the Provisional Admission Letter would be generated. Download it, take a printout, sign it and submit it to the allotted Institute.
  2. Decline: Select this if you do not wish to accept the allotted Institute/Course and a Seat Cancellation/ Withdrawal letter would be generated. By pressing Decline candidates will lose their right for any further seat allotment in subsequent rounds and Special Round.

Second: Candidates who are allotted any choice of Course/ Institute other than the first choice.

Here you have three options:

  1. Accept: Select this if you are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and do not want your higher preference choices to be considered in the next allotment round. The Provisional Admission Letter would be generated. Download it, take a printout, sign it and submit it to the allotted Institute.
  2. Accept & Upgrade: Select this if you are accepting the currently allotted seat but are interested to be considered for the next round of allotment for upgradation of the Institute/ course as per the choices filled. The Provisional Allotment Letter would be generated in this case. If a candidate gets a seat that has a higher preference in his/her list of choices in the next round, the candidate will automatically forfeit his/her claim on the seat previously allotted. In case, no upgradation takes place, the allotment in the previous round will be retained.
  3. Decline: Select this if you do not wish to accept the allotted Institute/Course and a Seat Cancellation/ Withdrawal letter would be generated. By pressing Decline candidates will lose their right for any further seat allotment in subsequent rounds and Special Round.

Note:

  • After the Round 3 Allotment, candidates would have two options – Accept & Decline.
  • Applicants who are not allotted any choice of Course/ Institute in Round 3, can opt for “Exit” option or “Participate in Special Round” option. In case of “Exit” option, the candidate will be exited from the whole counselling process including the special round.

Provisional Admission Letter and Reporting at the Institute:

Candidates who are allotted and accepted specific Institutions/ courses will be provided with a provisional admission letter that needs to be submitted at the allotted institute at the time of admission. All the provisionally selected candidates are required to report to the allotted institutes for document verification on the specified dates. The details regarding the documents/ certificates to be submitted at the time of reporting at the Institute can be checked with the respective Institutes.

Internal Sliding: Internal sliding would be conducted for ALL the admitted candidates for vacancies that exist in the particular institute on completion of the admission process. The original choices of Branches filled by the candidates would only be considered, and no fresh choice filling/ modifications are required.

Special Round: The authorities will conduct a special round of allotment for the vacant seats. Registered eligible candidates who have already paid the fee but didn’t get any allotment in the earlier rounds will be considered for allotment in the Special Round. Here the candidates need to fill in new choices, as the previous choices would be deleted. Candidates who have declined their allotments or withdrawn/cancelled their applications at any stage are not eligible for the Special round.

All candidates who have been allotted a seat in an Institution have to report to the allotted institute with all the required documents on the specified dates to confirm their admission.

Important Points for CIWG Candidates:
