The CBSE Class 10 2025 Mathematics Exam is a crucial stepping stone for many students pursuing careers in related fields. It tests students’ understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts and lays the groundwork for higher education.

In the CBSE Class 10 Maths exam, students can choose between the Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic papers. Both papers carry 100 marks, 80 of which are assigned to the theory paper, while the remaining 20 marks are reserved for internal assessment.

  • Theory (80 Marks): The theory section tests students’ conceptual understanding through various question formats, such as short answers, long answers, and case-based questions.
  • Internal assessment (20 Marks): This involves activities conducted throughout the year, such as pen-and-paper tests, multiple assessments, project work, and practical applications of Math to evaluate students’ problem-solving skills.

This blog will cover all the information related to the paper pattern, marking scheme, and important topics with weightage, which will help students easily ace the CBSE Class 10 2025 Mathematics exam.

Note: The ALLEN experts suggest and shortlist the above-mentioned important topics after analysing the previous year’s question papers.

Preparation Tips:

  1. Get familiarised with the exam pattern: Students are advised to acquaint themselves with it at the beginning of the session. This will familiarise them with the types of questions, number of questions, and marking scheme.
  2. Know the exam syllabus: Knowing the syllabus at the beginning of the session will help students make a proper study plan and strategy. You must also learn about the chapters and topics that need to be completed in the entire session. Try to cover and complete the syllabus by the end of December so you will have enough time to revise.
  3. Remember formulas/ theorems: Make a separate notebook to write down all the formulas from each chapter and topic. Memorise the formulas and theorems, but most importantly, understand their derivation and application. This will save time in the exam while solving any question.
  4. Make a study schedule: Students are recommended to make a study schedule to help them score good marks in the exam. A study timetable will keep you on the right path and keep your studies on constant track.
  5. Solve exercise problems from the NCERT book: NCERT is the key to scoring good marks in the CBSE Class 10 board Exams. Whatever is taught in the class, try to solve all the related questions from the NCERT.
  6. Solve Previous Year’s Question Papers: Solving previous year’s question papers will help students get acquainted with the exam pattern and type of questions asked. Scoring full marks will seem easy and realistic if students solve the previous year’s question papers.
  7. Practice with CBSE Maths Sample Question Papers: The CBSE Board publishes sample question papers to provide students with clarity about the structure and types of questions in the CBSE Maths board exam. So, it is advised that students solve the sample paper and view its solution, which they can use as a guide for exam preparation.

The CBSE Class 10 2025 Mathematics exam may seem daunting, but students can conquer the exam with dedicated preparation and the right approach. Utilise the resources available, practice consistently, and believe in yourself. Remember, a strong foundation in Maths opens doors to various academic and professional opportunities. So, put in the effort, and success will surely follow.

Keep learning and shining; we wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
