The first step for NEET UG Counselling is to ‘Register’ for it. Qualified and eligible candidates must register by visiting the official MCC website.
Applicants must fill in the details. After successfully submitting the details, a registration slip will appear on the screen. Please download and print the slip for future reference.
*Important Note: You must use the same mobile number and email ID you used while registering for NEET UG.
*Important Note: Choice locking is time-bound. Once locked, you cannot make any changes. Choose wisely!
The NEET counselling results will be declared after each round of counselling. Candidates can check the list of seat allotments. The list contains important details such as their name, roll number, assigned category, candidate’s category, allotted college, quota, and course. When reporting to the allotted college, the candidates must possess the seat allotment letter, which needs to be submitted along with other essential documents.
Once you have been allotted a seat in a medical college through NEET counselling, you must report to the college to complete the admission formalities. This involves submitting the original copies of several mandatory documents, which are given below:
Free Exit (only for Round 1)– The Free Exit option applies solely to Round 1 of NEET counselling. If a candidate is assigned a seat in Round 1 but chooses not to join the allotted college, they will not face any penalty. Their security deposit remains untouched, and they remain eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling. This provides flexibility for candidates who are unsure about their initial allotment and wish to explore other options in later rounds.
Exit with forfeiture—If a candidate is given a seat in the second round but decides not to accept it, they can still exit with forfeiture (losing the deposited security amount) within the specified time.
Candidates who join the allocated seat in the second round won’t be allowed to resign or give up their seats. Additionally, they won’t be able to take part in state counselling.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results on 4 June, along with the NEET UG 2024 cutoff scores or qualifying marks for each category. The table below displays the category-wise NEET 2024 qualifying cutoff.
