NTA Releases NEET UG 2023 Answer Key
National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the answer key for NEET -UG 2023. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET)- UG was conducted on 7th May 2024 across 499 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Approximately 20.87 Lakh students participated in the exam.
Along with the answer keys, NTA has also displayed scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and recorded responses by the machine for all the students on its official website, i.e. www.neet.nta.nic.in.
Having both the answer key and scanned OMR Answer sheet, the students can raise their representation against the recorded and correct response by 6th June 2023 before 11:50 PM.
How To Download The NEET-UG 2023 Answer Key?
The students can download the Answer key of NEET-UG 2023 through the official website by following the given steps:
- Visit the NTA NEET official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on NEET 2023 Answer Key link on the homepage.
- Select the question paper code for which you want to view the official NEET 2023 answer key.
- Download NEET answer key 2023 pdf.
- Compare and analyse the correct responses and recorded responses.
For the ease of the students, NTA has also sent a scanned image of the OMR Answer Sheet on the registered email address at the time of submission of the Online Application Form of NEET (UG) – 2023.
How to Calculate Scores using the official NEET-UG Answer Key?
Once you have successfully downloaded the Answer Key from the official website of NTA, the students are required to follow the given instructions:
- Compare each recorded answer with the answer key, question-wise.
- For every right answer, add four marks and keep the tally.
- For every wrong answer, deduct 1 mark from the total.
- The students can also calculate their expected marks using the given formula:
Marks Obtained in NEET-UG 2023= (Total No. of Correct Responses X 4) – Total No. of Incorrect Responses |
How To Challenge NEET UG 2023 Official Answer Key?
In case the student finds any discrepancies in the answers mentioned on the Official Answer Key, the recorded responses can raise their representation and challenge the NEET UG 2023 Answer Key.
Step to challenge the Answer Key:
- Visit the official website, i.e. https://neet.nta.nic.in/
- Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)’
- Select the Test Booklet Code.
- Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin
- You willsee the following Questions are in sequential order:

- The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by the NTA.
- Upload the supporting documents if any
- After clicking your desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET(UG) – 2023, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.
- Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’.
- Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.
- After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.
How to Challenge NEET-UG 2023 OMR Answer Sheet Grading & Recorded Responses?
- Visit the official website of NTA “https://neet.nta.nic.in/”
- Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and Security Pin
- Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane.
- Click on the OMR Challenge Link.
- You willsee the following Questions are in sequential order:

- Select Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the Recorded Response.
- The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.
- Click on the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ option next to your chosen question
- After clicking your desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) – 2023, ensure to submit your claim.
- You will next see a screen displaying all your challenges.
- Click on ‘Submit’ and Pay Fee Finally’.
- Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question/grade challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.
- After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.
The students may please note that all the challenges will be submitted by the panel of subject experts. If the proposed challenge is found correct, the answer key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly.
No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/nonacceptance of his/her challenge. The finalised key finalised after the challenges will be treated as final.
