JEE (Main) 2023, Session 1 exam was conducted by NTA on 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February 2023 in Computer-based Test mode at different centres located in 290 cities throughout India and 25 Cities outside India.
Following the examination, NTA has released the Provisional Answer Key for JEE (Main) 2023, Session 1 (January Attempt) exam on its official website, www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can now check and download the provisional answer key from the official web portal. In addition to the Provisional Answer Keys for Paper 1(B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Paper 2B (B.Planning), NTA has also released the Question Papers with Recorded Responses on the website for candidates to review and challenge.
The candidates who are not satisfied with the released provisional answer key by NTA may challenge it by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200 per question challenged till February 4, 7:50 PM (IST). The Payment for the processing fee may be made through, Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking till 04 February 2023 (upto 08:00 PM IST). No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The fee towards the challenge will not be accepted through any other mode.

Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of Subject Experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The Key finalised by the Experts after the challenge will be final. No challenge will be accepted after 04 February 2023 (upto 07:50 PM IST).
